The Louisiana
Alligator is one of the most exciting animals to hunt on the North American
Continent. It is one of the few prehistoric animals left that can be taken
by hunters. Some large bull gators are anywhere from 25 to 50 years old.
Our guides and host on
these hunts are professionals, Louisiana born and raised. Alligator hunting
to them is part of their heritage and their pride is at stake among each
other to take the largest bull for their hunters. Competition is a wonderful
thing!
You will hunt in and see
parts of Louisiana that 85% of Louisiana's own resident's and the rest
of the world have never seen. This is due to the contacts we have established
over the years with the landowners and trappers that assist us in your
hunting experience of a lifetime. Our accessibility to the best alligator
habitats is unlimited.
To us at WORLD CLASS HUNTS
a trophy alligator is 8' or better and no one will work harder to assure
our clients will get their trophy of a lifetime (unless other wise instructed
by the client to stay at 8' and under). Keep in mind that Louisiana has
been harvesting alligators for 20 years as to date and each year it seems
to get harder and harder to produce these trophy alligators. We are still
very confident that we can get anyone wanting to shoot a 9' or better
alligator his trophy.
When hunting these prehistoric
animals, our trappers monitor their movements and whereabouts all year
long. We know where the big bull gators are located at when the season
begins. Now comes the cat and mouse game to collect your trophy. These
big gators did not survive 25 or more years by being stupid. It gets rather
hard to put a 10' alligator in a 14' boat if he would rather be somewhere
else. Our guides will have safety in mind at all times. To our knowledge,
no sport hunter has ever been injured. Can't say the same for the guides.
We are committed to you.
Although, we are the host now, we have been the hunter for many
years. We have been there, done that! Our hunts are based out of Lake
Charles, LA, but we will be hunting within a 150 mile radius. We go where
the big gators are. Normally, you will be hunting within a fifty mile
radius, but would you not drive an extra 100 miles for a 10' or larger
alligator. Lake Charles is serviced by the Lake Charles Regional Airport.
Numerous daily flights into and out of Lake Charles are serviced from
Houston, TX and Dallas, TX.
A 50% deposit is required
to book this hunt. This deposit is non- refundable because of our costs
in making preparations and commitments for your place on this hunt.
We do book-up fast on this hunt, so don't hesitate to book your spot.
We do understand that sometimes an emergency might come up and you can
not make the hunt. We will make every attempt to roll your hunt
over to the following year. This will all depend on the landowners
cooperation and the nature of the emergency. This will be left up
to our discretion.
Non-hunters are welcomed
on our hunt for an additional cost of $800.00 each. A non-hunter is taking
the place of a hunter and we have to pay the trappers for the spot taken,
as well as meals and lodging.
Please call us it you have
any questions or you wish to book a hunt. Hunt dates are scheduled on
a first come first serve basis. The alligator hunt is usually the first
two weeks of September each year. We like our clients to arrive
around 4:00 p.m. the day before their hunt starts. You will hunt
the next two days and leave out the afternoon of the second hunt day.
Additional days may be purchased, if available, at $400.00 per day per
person.
Our hunting package includes
transportation to and from the Lake Charles Airport, lodging, meals, guides,
boats, and one alligator up to 8'0" un-skinned, and preparation of
one alligator for mounting or leather. The cost of a non-resident license
is $150.00. A hunter safety card is required on anyone born after
September 1, 1969. Your hunting license entitles you to shoot and
purchase as many alligators you can afford. Each additional alligator
skinned and prepared for leather or mounting is an additional $100.00.
The base cost of this hunt
is $1,700.00, which as stated above, covers everything but your license
to harvest an alligator up to 8'0"! Anyone wishing to harvest an
